Lately I have been really into managing my money and using iOS apps to do so. Yes, I still like to write stuff down, but if you have an iPhone, I’m recommending these apps.
shopkick [free – referral] I wrote about this one before. It’s basically an app that where you walk into a suggested store and compile “kicks” (points) for either walk-ins, scanning or purchases. When you reach a certain amount, you can redeem the “kicks” for gifts cards. It’s handy. It used to be a lot easier to get kicks, but they stopped that. Still, just getting a few here and there helps.
The Krazy Coupon Lady [free] Started by two women and now has exploded into one of the top search destinations for couponers. Their app is pretty handy. It has a few issues, but otherwise it is great to check in coupons you have, flag deals you want to try and see what others in the couponing community has done with their bragging area.
Ibotta [free – referral] This app makes you do mini surveys and/or watch videos to get rebates that you can redeem at selected stores with a purchase. The Krazy Coupon Lady site references some deals with Ibotta, so it’s kind of nice to have both to supplement your savings.
Cartwheel by Target [free] If you have this, it’s works really well with Target’s system. You have the ability to search for deals and add them to a list. A barcode is generated and the cashier scans it and the savings happen. Sometimes they sneak in unadvertised savings and that alone is worth it.
Safeway [free] A grocery chain based out of Northern California, this app has the weekly flyer, the just for U coupons and personalized deals. It even keeps track of how many points you get for your gas rewards and locates gas stations you can use your gas rewards. For me I like the surprise personal stuff. It ranges from free food to heavily discounted items that I actually use.
