We recently attended the 2014 Toyota Corolla Launch Event as fans where Aziatix debuted their 1st single under Cash Money Records and partnered with Toyota. The event was held at the SmogShoppe in Los Angeles which was a STUNNING venue perfect for showcasing both Aziatix and the new 2014 Corolla.
There were 100+ fans and media present for the intimate occasion allowing for both to mingle over delicious food and colorful cocktails. Everyone was ushered towards the stage where Danny Im (host of DFLA on Mnet), David Chung of Toyota (who we saw back earlier in the year for Toyota’s Lee Min Ho event) and Lynn Scott (VP of Cash Money Records) introduced Aziatix to the stage performing “Baby, Let’s Go” for the first time followed by an exclusive screening of the official music video (see below).
The event was really well organized, but there were certain things that caught our attention and we really enjoyed.
- Abusing the Photo Print Station – Take a photo, post it to Instagram using the hashtag #corollaready and BOOM, instant polaroid souvenir. I’m sure the printing guy was sick of seeing our faces by the end of the night.
- T-shirt Silk Screen Station – They had a table with free t-shirts featuring the 2014 Toyota Corolla. I’d seen a similar station set up at a Yelp event in SF and it’s SO cool to see t-shirts being made on site of an event.
- Aziaddicts – Fans of Aziatix were invited to the event and had a special section they could stand separate from media during their performance and Q&A and had photo ops with the guys towards the end of the night.
- 2014 Toyota Corolla – I think we were one of the few people to actually play around with the car and sit inside. I don’t drive just yet.. but damn, if I didn’t look good in the driver’s seat! It’s calling to me. One day! [Teri]
